Judith Engel
(NFDI4Biodiversity Cross Community Coordination)

Join the Boosting Biodata Bootcamp in Aachen: Present your data and learn to boost its potential
>From 15–17 September 2026 at RWTH Aachen University it will be all about life science data in all of its different shapes and forms.
We invite life scientists – from laboratory to field researchers – to share their experiences and challenges with data management and analysis, to connect with bioinformaticians, software developers, and local data stewards. It is an opportunity to share tools and workflows, learn how to use them in your day to day data work and showcase high-quality datasets – as well as pitfalls on the way to get there.
Call for abstracts is open until 01.06.2026.
We invite you to submit your poster or short talk contributions presenting your scientific work, highlighting real-world challenges, questions, or experiences related to data management and analysis: https://events.hifis.net/event/3702/abstracts/
Please note that abstracts must include how RDM aspects are addressed within the work, such as datasets, workflows, or methods and their relation to FAIR principles, Open Science, and best practices. For the pros in data management (or those who are working on it) there is also the possibility to apply for the FAIR Data Award<https://events.hifis.net/event/3702/page/1059-fair-data-award>.
